Original Item: Only One Available. This is a very nice fully functional small wrist compass, as worn by many U.S. soldiers during WWII. It very much resembles a watch of the period, probably because it was made by WALTHAM Watch Co, as indicated on the compass card. It has a brass casing, which is marked on the back R - 88 - C - 890, most likely the contract number.

The compass is fully functional, though the top crystal has a lot of small stress cracks and age, probably due to the material it was made of. It has a nice watch band style khaki canvas wristband, which is also in good shape.
